Google Maps shows your route as a blue line, and Street View only lets you look around one spot at a time. To really see the way before you go, every junction, building and the entrance at the end, use StreetRoutes: it plays the whole route in real Google Street View, from the start to the door.

- Search for where you're going: type an address or place name, or click the map to drop a pin. Its Street View appears next to the map.
- Press Directions and choose drive, walk or bike. Start from "Your location" or any address.
- Press "Show route" to check it and load it.
- Press play. The route plays in Street View and stops at every turn, showing the direction, which lane to be in and what comes next. Tap to pause, drag to look around, change the speed, or switch on voice guidance.
- Arrive facing the entrance. "Navigate there" hands the route to Google Maps, Apple Maps or Waze for the real trip.
When it helps
- Before a driving test: get to know the junctions and roundabouts near the test centre. Hong Kong driving test centres →
- Somewhere new: a new job, a hospital appointment, a friend's new flat. See the front door first.
- Travelling: follow the way from the airport or station exit to the hotel lobby.
- Older relatives: watch the trip together at home so there are no surprises on the day.
